"Fast paced, fun, quick read!"
Renee and her two friends, Candi and Mina, are having one
of their sleepovers tonight. Every so often, they get
together, get drunk and play board games. It's a wonderful
time for the friends to reconnect and they all enjoy it.
Now Candi and Renee are waiting on Mina to arrive. Renee is
getting a blender full of margaritas ready and has the
chips and dip to take into the living room. Just as Renee
hands Candi her full glass, the doorbell rings. Mina brings
not only another bottle of alcohol, but an old board game.
When Renee takes the game from Mina, she touches a symbol
on the box and sees an Indian symbol light up. After the girls talk for a bit, they're ready to begin
playing the game. Of course, it's left to Renee to read the
instructions, which she finds really, really strange. To
begin with, the game can be played by one. The playing
pieces are all of different men. They all pick their pieces
and roll the dice and take their card. Once all three of
them are finished, the circle in the middle of the board
shows the words, "Do you three agree?" At which point,
Renee is really getting a bad feeling about the whole
thing, but decides to go with the majority. So they all
three agree and Renee feels herself falling into a vortex
and comes out in a teepee. What is this game? Is there a reason why the old woman in
the antique shop wouldn't sell it to Mina and she ended up
going behind the old woman's back to get it? And what of
the playing pieces? Are these real men or what? EROTIKOS is a fun, quick read. Shannon Leigh sets the scene
wonderfully with all three women relaxed and drinking
enough to feel good, thereby questioning their adventures.
Shannon Leigh's stories are always fast-paced and this one
is no exception. I became caught up in the action from the
very beginning and kept turning pages to find out how the
story ends. If you're in the mood for a light, quick read,
don't pass this one up.

It’s been a long time since Renee and her two friends have gotten together for a girl’s night in. What could possibly be more fun than drinking margaritas, gossiping about their recent bed-partners, and playing drunken rounds of Twister until they all pass out? But when Mina shows up toting a bottle of José Cuervo Gold in one arm, and a strange game named Erotikos in the other, the girls’ evening is about to get a lot more interesting. Even before they remove the contents, Renee senses something amiss. This is no ordinary game. Erotikos promises pleasures galore and adventures filled with sexual delight. But how can a cardboard pastime with its small stack of cards, two oddly marked die, and eight pewter men accomplish all this? After reading the instructions, the girls select their character pieces—an Indian, a selkie, and a vampire. Three men of varying backgrounds, but all sexy as sin and tantillizing to the eye. With a roll of the dice, the game begins, and the three women soon find themselves pulled into a place where their wildest fantasies come to life...
