"exciting world filled with hot, winged aliens"
Lucifer, a Saitren from the planet Nadryl, comes to Earth
seeking
aid and to warn of a plague, which threatens his world and
will likely
affect Earth. Unfortunately, the military, who captures
Lucifer,
doesn't believe him and arranges for scientists to study
him--among
these scientists is Nicole. Lucifer is very attracted to
Nicole, but
she seems to ignore him. Will Lucifer escape in time to
save his
world,
and what of his growing need for Nicole? WHEN DAWN BREAKS is a highly enjoyable, futuristic
romance, which
has a unique take on demon mythology. Ms. O'Connor creates
an
interesting, exciting world filled with hot, winged aliens,
who have
special adaptations used to please women. In my opinion,
Nicole could
have been less fearful and more assertive, but that is my
personal
preference. Nicole did grow stronger toward the end of the
book, and
her character suited Lucifer. There is a great secondary
romance
between Nicole's fellow scientist and Lucifer's second-in-
command,
which
greatly adds to the story. All in all, WHEN DAWN BREAKS is a great read, which I
highly
recommend.

The alien, Lucifer, didn't just bear an uncanny resemblance, and the name, of a demon of ancient lore, everything about him-from his wings and horns, to the red skin and his 'forked' tail, to his ability to 'enthrall'-screamed that the legends arose from his people who had to have visited Earth in their distant past. It made Nicole wary-but not nearly wary enough. Luc made no bones about the fact that he wanted her, nor did he seem to doubt his ability to take her and make her his, regardless of the tight security the government held him under.
