"Hot loving and fast-paced suspense"
Zoe has fled to the small town of Serenity to escape a two-
timing creep and make a new life for herself and the twins
she's expecting (courtesy of her ex). Her neighbors, the
gorgeous Conn and Marcel, have certainly caught her eye,
but she knows they could never be interested in a
struggling mother-to-be. Little does she know that both
those sweet and sexy guys are tiger shape shifters who've
been waiting to find their perfect mate...Zoe. Unfortunately,
explaining how they feel—and what they are—is the least of
their problems. Because it seems Zoe's ex wants her back,
and he's not going to take "no" for an answer. This is a romantic paranormal with plenty of heat, and a
good dose of suspense. I love big, strong alphas who know
how to be tender and gentle as well as forceful, and this
story has two excellent examples. Conn and Marcel are
passionate, but careful not to overwhelm Zoe. They're
protective, but not pushy. Zoe, on the other hand, does her
best to be independent, but she's smart enough to take help
when she really needs it, and sensible about what's best
for her babies. I just love a guy who loves children, and
again, this book has not one, but two! Ms. Leigh gives enough background to provide essential
information, but she keeps the pacing and action tight. Her
heroine is bright and tough, but able to bend. Her heroes
are strong, fierce, and devoted, but respectful and never
smothering. She also gives us just a little bit of gentle
humor for a little lighter touch. This story was a joy from
start to finish, and I look forward to more tales from the
little town of Serenity , New York.
