Kara Dillion was infected by the chemicals she had been
hired to deliver. So due to the infection she is now a
weapon. She had been captured when she was transporting the
chemicals, and in the process was infected. Kara is wanted,
and when she finds out who they sent to capture and bring
her back, she can't believe it. A man from her past, Duke,
the man she had betrayed. But to survive she must have
blood, and she must rely on Duke for that. And oh the ways
he purposes to give it to her, is just "Pure Hot". Will the
two of them find common ground with past hurts in the way?
Will he just turn her over and leave her? Halloway Duke was hired to bring back a rogue pilot, and
not just any pilot. It was the woman that had been his
lover and had betrayed him into the hands of his sworn
enemies. He can't believe that he could still desire and
want this woman, Kara, but he keeps those feelings quiet.
He will retrieve her and return her into the hands of the
UkrainaDva and go on with his life. It isn't his problem
after he does that, but that isn't how it happens, no. She
needs him and he can't just turn his back on her, no matter
what happened in the past. Since her infection she needs an
influx of DNA to stay alive. Duke gave her enough blood
when he saved her, but she needs more, but this is when
Duke gets some payback; she must beg, and beg beautifully
at that. But will Duke be able to turn her over to
UkrainaDva and just walk away? He isn't so sure any more. Wow, this series just gets better and better. Fiona Jayde
draws such a sexy multifaceted hero who even with past
scars is able to still treat the woman who betrayed him
with heart. This story was strong and engaging from the
beginning. This futuristic/sci-fi romance story was one
pure thrill ride from beginning to end. I can't wait to
read the third and final book in this series.
