"a story you can lose yourself in"
They hoped the Cyrellians were friendly since they offered
to help rebuild Earth after its devastation. But three
women discover that things are going to change the place
they called home. Bella can't believe that thanks to the
Cyrellian technology she is going to hear. But when she
goes to the lab to have her test, that isn't what happens.
She is sold off as a pet in the Alien Zoo. What is going
on? She dreams of at least being mated with one of her own
kind. But when she meets Dar, she can't hold back how he
makes her body heat up. See, he isn't one of the beings in
the Zoo, he is the zookeeper that is put in charge of her
and her training. What is she going to do? She wants Dar,
he makes her insides melt and she feels safe with him. Dar has always been able to deal with even the most
difficult pets in the zoo, so he is sometimes given hard
cases. But when the three new breeders are brought to his
people, how can they be in his Zoo? He finds himself
attracted to one of them, Bella. He knows it is against the
rules to mate with one of the pets, but he can't help how
he feels and how it feels so right, that she is made for
him. So when Bella lets him know about Cyrellian, and their
way of getting her and the other two women to his Zoo, he
is shocked. He decides to go against all he knows and help
her escape. He will risk his life for this woman, because
deep down he knows it is the right thing to do. So he and
Bella know they must get back to Cyrellian, and let anyone
that is deciding they want to go to Cyrellian, what they
are all about. Will they be able to get back and save
future people the pain and torture they went through before
it is too late? Wow, Eve Vaughn wrote one of the best stories I have read
in a while. I was drawn to this story and characters from
the first page. I loved the Sci-Fi Futuristic story line.
The building relationship between Bella and Dar was very
well done. I loved the way Dar felt for Bella and wanted to
help her, like a Knight in Shining armor, what woman
doesn't want that? Eve Vaughn always seems to write a story
where you feel you can climb inside yourself, to me that is
one of the best things. When life sometimes becomes too
much, you can pick up one of her books and escape into her
world.
