"Great story of good versus evil!"
All her life, Nicole Lege're has only wished for one thing—
to be normal and live a normal life. She hasn't had an easy
childhood being the firstborn daughter of the Keeper of the
Lege're Legacy. Especially since she didn't manifest any
particular psychic power. So she did the only thing she
could, she married the wrong man, who died before the birth
of their daughter. Now years later, Nicole lives in
Atlanta, where she's getting a doctorate in psychology
while raising her daughter. The only member of her family
who lives near her is her younger sister, Malita, an empath
and spell caster. However, Nicole has hit a snag in
her "normal" life and is having prophetic dreams. For the
second night in a row, Nicole is dreaming of a woman being
murdered. Since she knows if she has the dream one more
time, the murder will take place, she goes to the police in
an effort to stop it. When the beautiful high-class woman walks into Atlanta
Detective Carter Jackson's office, he knows she is way out
of his league. But when she starts talking about the
prophetic dreams she's been having of a murder, Jax thinks
she's nuts. All his life, Jax has only believed in what he
could see and hear and prove. He's never been one for the
metaphysical. However, when the murder takes place, exactly
as Nicole described it, Jax is forced to question his own
beliefs. Is Nicole finally coming into her power as the firstborn
daughter and heiress of the Lege're Legacy? Will her family
be able to help her with this murderer? Will Nicole be able
to have a future with Jax? Will he even want her? Will Jax
be able to keep Nicole safe? Will he believe her or will he
treat her as a suspect? DREAM OF SHADOWS is one of those books that will remain
with me for a long time to come. Seressia Glass does a
fantastic job of showing the reality of being psychic and
of not fitting in. Both the hero and heroine must learn to
deal with things in their pasts that have marked them. Both
have been made to feel inadequate and must search deep
within themselves to find love and acceptance. This is an
excellent story and I highly recommend it to any one with
any interest in the paranormal.
