"Heartwarming tale of love and acceptance."
When we left off in REAPER'S REVENGE, all seven Reapers had
gathered in Haines City to destroy the Ceannus and Rogues
gathered there. Of course, not all the Rogues were killed.
Two of them escaped the carnage—Otaktay, the Jakotai brave
and Kasid Jaborn. While on the way to Haines City, Kasid
realized Otaktay would not survive and took off for parts
unknown, leaving the brave to face the Reapers on his own.
Not surprisingly, Otaktay does not survive his encounter
with Cynyr. So now, they're all traveling to the Citadel to
introduce the Prime Reaper's new wife, Danielle, to the
Shadowlords. They all take some downtime on the train ride. Of course, when they arrive in the Citadel, they're in for
a bit of a surprise when they are summoned for a meeting
with the Shadowlords. For none other than Kasid Jaborn
walks into the room and is addressed as a Reaper by the
Shadowlords. Cynyr immediately reacts because he was the
one who was supposed to kill Kasid. Turns out Kasid has
important information for them and has changed his
allegiance to the Reapers. Turns out there is another group
of Ceannus in Calizonia. Many more than were around Haines
City, along with Rogues and more ghorets. But that isn't
the worst part. Turns out the Ceannus have somehow managed
to steal the Reaper children Morrigunia has borne from each
of the Reapers. And she is not pleased by this at all. So now they have to destroy the Ceannus, the Rogues and
free Morrigunia's children. Not surprisingly, Aingeal has
all kinds of good ideas she puts to the Shadowlords,
including that a Healer accompany the Reapers and that the
Shadowlords destroy all the ghorets before the Reapers get
there. And very surprisingly, the head Shadowlord backs
down to Aingeal and agrees with her. Will the Reapers be victorious? Will they manage to destroy
the Ceannus' ship and the Ceannus themselves? Will
Morrigunia get her children back? Now that she's pregnant,
will Aingeal become a termagant? Especially if she doesn't
go with Cynyr? What will happen with Danielle? Does she
have a special talent or two? Will the other Reapers accept
Kasid as one of their own? WESTERN WIND BOOK 3: PRIME REAPER gives us a totally
different look at the life of a Reaper. Charlotte Boyett-
Compo gives us an insight as to how they all work together
and relax together. In this story, we learn all about
Arawn's history and how he became a Reaper. We also watch
as marriage changes him and his outlook on life. And this
time around, we even get a look into the life of the Rogues
through Kasid. What he has gone through under the tender
mercies of the Ceannus. Also, in the second book of this
series, Morrigunia shows herself as a very compassionate
Goddess, doing whatever is needed to save one of her
Reapers after Cynyr is bitten by the ghorets. In this
story, we see her more as an avenging Goddess, and one who
does not want to be questioned on anything she does. Once
again Charlotte Boyett-Compo takes us on a wild journey
filled with danger and love and doesn't disappoint. The
only thing I can say about the WESTERN WIND SERIES, is
hurry up with the next one!

Prime Reaper Arawn Gehdrin never expected to find a woman who would be willing to share her life with him. As the head of the Reaper unit, he was feared and loathed. Men stepped aside for him, women hid from him and children had nightmares when he showed up in their town. But that wasn't the case with Danielle Brewster, the sheriff's strong-willed daughter. With flashing eyes and a saucy grin, she set out to win the Reaper's heart and capture his very soul. Danielle saw only the good in Arawn Gehdrin and understood his loneliness, for that same loneliness stared back at her from the mirror each morning. His smile set her heart racing and his dark good looks sent shivers of desire coursing through her body. There was no way she was going to let him get away from her. Beyond the western mountains lurks an evil the Reapers thought destroyed. The Ceannus — alien creatures hell-bent on enslaving humankind—had returned to Terra with a vile secret meant to cripple the Reapers. With them, they had brought horrendous death for the people of Terra. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Note: While a stand alone story, it is recommend the books be read in order for better reader enjoyment and understanding.
