"fast-moving story with some hot romance"

The planet RAMA rations salt only to 'The Firsts' and children not the first-born are essentially slaves because salt allows development of Quait psi-power. Azsla is a First whose family was murdered in the rebellion when many slaves escaped to Zoran. She has undergone years of training to suppress her Quait and is on a mission to spy on the new world populated by escaped slaves. The mission goes wrong even before she awakes in her escape pod to find herself attracted to her rescuer - her enemy. As one who was raised as a First and then trained in the Corps to be as a slave, Azsla soon finds her unquestioning loyalty conflicts with what she is beginning to believe about these people, but what can she do?

Intersolar Mining entrepreneur Derrek Archer [met in ISLAND HEAT] rescues Azsla from her emergency sleeping pod and is confounded by his overwhelming desire for her. Not to mention he suddenly has a 'friendly voice' in his head insisting that he and Azsla must trust each other to prevent an untold future disaster. Derrek recognizes his allegiance to his world's freedom must come before his feelings and he suspects Azsla is a spy.

SOLAR HEAT is fast-moving story with some hot romance and characters you can enjoy. The machinations of politics and character relationships are believable and give the plot a down-to-earth atmosphere. This sequel to ISLAND HEAT is in the world of Zoran after the portal to Earth has been closed. Because of this, SOLAR HEAT can stand alone but would be doubly enjoyed if you read both books.

Is she an indispensable ally. . . or his worst enemy?

When Intersolar Mining entrepreneur Derrek Archer rescues Azsla from her emergency sleeping pod, he's confounded by his desire for her. An inexplicable desire. An irresistible desire that causes Derrek to wonder if he's been drugged or hypnotized.

Is she better off with him . . . or without him?

Azsla's attracted to the sexy asteroid miner, but she fears getting close to Derrek might compromise her mission and reveal her secret. A secret that she's an enemy spy and her facade hides a complex and powerful woman—one capable of enslaving Derrek and destroying everything he holds dear.

Will Azsla's devastating secret destroy them . . . or save them?

When a cataclysm of deadly proportions threatens Derrek's world, they must overcome their distrust, suspicion and opposing loyalties. But while uniting forces might save a planet, working together might tear them apart or bring them together. Forever.
