"fast paced and sizzling vampire romance"
For many, many years, centuries he had dedicated his
service to his clan. He had done all that needed to be
done, but now he did the unforgivable and claimed the
beautiful Violet Deeds, who was a human, and he took her as
his mate. That set his clan into a tizzy, but Byron has
done so much for others and now it is his time to be happy,
to be with the one that makes him feel strong and whole.
Now Byron fears that Violet is in danger from his fellow
clan members. But he takes steps to keep the woman he loves
safe, or as safe as he can try to make it. But will this be
enough? As they are together the bond between them grows
stronger, reawakening desires between them. Violet Deeds never thought in a thousand years that she
would be stranded on a remote island where Byron lived, but
on top of that she never would have dreamed that she,
Violet would be needed to save his life. Violet, a strong,
hot tempered, red headed psychiatrist just did that. The
man that was not only dead, immortal, but he was dead
inside, and it took someone like her to show him
unconditional love that would bring him to life. But now
both of them are afraid of what the clan will do, and if
Violet will be safe. Byron takes steps to try to keep her
and him safe, but are they really? When things starts to
heat up and a kidnapping happens, the underground world of
the rebel vampires come out to play and cause trouble of
their own. This book kept me wondering just what was going to happen
to Violet. The two of them live in fear, wondering if the
clan will hurt or worse kill Violet for being who she was,
even though now she is one of them, it doesn't matter. But
Byron is tired of others telling him who he should and
shouldn't love. He didn't care what the world of his Clans
people thought of him taking a human for his lover, you
fall in love with who you do and that shouldn't ever come
between them or stop them from being together. Now it is
his turn to be happy, to feel whole with the love of a good
woman. I can't wait for the next book in this fast paced
series.
