"Spellbounding story that shows loves conquers all"
For three years Ex DEA Agent James Gabriel Tremayne has
been able to elude his family and wife. But those days are
over. His family wants total control over him and they know
that they can do that if they threatened him with killing
his new wife. Being the son of a gangster makes it hard
enough but also being married to a daughter of another
gangster makes life hell, and very colorful. So now his
family has found him and drugged him to take him back under
their total control. He worked so hard and had hidden so
well from them; he changed his name, found the woman he
feel deeply in love with, married and started a wonderful
life. But now his old life is back stronger than ever. He
had been married to a woman that only wanted to control him
just like his family had. Now that he thought his life was
looking up back in walks his family. Not only do they have him back where they want him, they
take advantage of that and admit him to a private mental
hospital where he is given plastic surgery to alter his
looks. Now his family has him where they want him, to
torture and do whatever they want. Who would think a father
would hate his son as much as James father did. But what
his family didn't take into consideration is his loving
wife. The love she has for her husband that she will not
just walk away. No, she will do whatever it takes to free
the man she loves from the pure hell his family is. They
thought no one would care enough to find the truth, free
him; well they will learn the hard way by a woman scorned
and on the warpath to free her husband. She also has the
backing of his great friends. Put them together and you've
got one strong fighting army behind James. Now they just
have to find him. Will they find James in time? Will the
ones that love James succeed against the pure evil that his
family is? This story really socked a punch. I couldn't read it fast
enough to find out what would happen next. What James'
friends and wife do for him just shows that that kind of
support can conquer evil like his family with hands down.
Each new story that Charlotte Boyett-Compo writes just gets
better and better. I look forward to seeing what she has in
store next for her readers.
