"One heck of an adventure story!"
Even though Lily West grew up with money, she didn't have
the world's best childhood. From a young age, Lily's father
decided the path her life would take and molded her to fit
his image, right down to the boyfriends Lily had. So when
she graduated high school, Lily had enough and went to the
police academy to fulfill her own dreams of what she wanted
to do with her life. Not surprisingly, when Lily became a
cop, her father made sure Lily didn't get any dangerous
assignments, still controlling Lily. In order to regain
control of her own life, Lily left Dallas and moved to
Chicago, where she became a private investigator. Her
current assignment has Lily investigating the night
security at the museum, which she already decided sucks.
Thoroughly bored, Lily hears a motorcycle and the sound
immediately takes her back to thoughts of the man who took
her virginity. The one man Lily has always wanted and who
broke her heart. Even ten years later, Lily still
fantasizes about Mac Canfield, the quintessential bad boy.
When she hears the bike again, this time closer, Lily goes
to investigate. The man who steps off the bike looks just
like Mac. At this point, Lily is ready to call the police,
but instead she watches as the man breaks into the museum
and then comes out with something wrapped up. She just
knows Mac is still a thief, but can't bring herself to call
the police. She pulls her gun on him, when shots ring out. Mac Canfield finally managed to turn his life around when
he joined the Wild Riders, a group of bikers working for
the US Government retrieving things unobtainable through
normal channels. Of course, all the members have to swear
not to divulge any information about the Wild Riders. Mac's
current assignment is to get the virus from an artifact in
a Chicago museum. He's ready to leave the museum with the
virus, when he's stopped by someone. Lily. The one woman
from Mac's past he's unable to forget. When they graduated
from high school, Mac did what he thought was best and
broke off with her, right after he took her virginity. Now,
ten years later, Lily looks better than ever. When shots
ring out, Mac reacts instinctively by pushing Lily down and
shielding her with his own body. Then he grabs the virus
from the shattered artifact, and Lily, and off they go into
the night on his bike. Now that he's got the virus, Mac can go to his contact to
drop it off, but what about Lily? He realizes he has no
choice but to take her with him, however he cannot betray
the Wild Riders. So he destroys her phone and off they go. Will the two of them begin a new relationship? And how,
when Mac can't tell Lily what he's doing and why. After
all, she still thinks he's a thief, especially after she
caught him red-handed. And what about Lily? Will she go
quietly with Mac, or will she fight him every inch of the
way? And don't forget the shots. Will the two of them be
able to elude whoever shot at them? RIDING WILD is exactly that. A wild ride to escape the bad
guys by two people who still have feelings for each other,
even though they have had no contact in ten years. Jaci
Burton brings this whole story to vivid life with the
glance she gives us into the biker lifestyle. Her
characters are all well-rounded and remain true to
themselves as they fight to stay alive. We feel with Lily
as she's torn between wanting to do the right thing, but
can't force herself to betray Mac. And Mac as he fights
himself over telling Lily the truth. If you're in the mood
for a good adventure story, don't miss RIDING WILD.

He's a Harley-riding ex-thief working undercover for the government. She's a gun-toting ex-socialite hired to protect a valuable museum exhibit. But in her attempt to stop a heist, she never anticipated having her breath and her heart stolen... Mac Canfield was the last man Lily West expected to see again, never mind aim her gun at. But here he was, the bad boy who'd broken her heart years ago-still a thief, this time high-jacking a priceless artifact--and it was all she could do to push aside the memories of how it felt to have his perfectly chiseled body next to hers. Mac was no less shocked to see the beautiful girl-next-door all grown up, threatening to shoot him on the spot. Little did she know she was blowing his cover-and now he had to figure out how to get her out of harm's way without succumbing to his crazy desire to take her on a hot trip down memory lane. Unfortunately, Lily has no intention of going anywhere with Mac. Which means he has to resort to kidnapping. Unless, of course, she agrees to let him take her for the kind of ride destined to drive them both unbelievably wild... Genre: Contemporary Romantic Suspense, Erotic Romance
