"Fast and furious...and frisky"
When hotter-than-hot Nash Dupree follows Victoire Duramel
into a dark alley to save her from a bad guy, he hears her
cry to the heavens for help. Vicki doesn't know how to
handle her recently manifested magical powers, and they're
spinning dangerously out of control. Nash has the answer to
her problem—he just has to convince Vicki that what she
needs is to have all-night, no-holds-barred sex with him to
leash all that excess energy. Victoire doesn't know who the handsome maniac is, but if he
thinks he can lay claim to her heart and soul just because
he's gotten her body, he's in for a surprise.
Unfortunately, there seems to be several people who are
trying to get hold of her, and most of them aren't as nice
(or as hot) as Nash. This fast-paced tale does a decent job of bringing the
reader into a story that actually began in the
original "Bodyguard", which was the story of Nic (Nash's
twin) and Elena. Unfortunately, T.B.: Nash suffers a bit
from "middle of the trilogy" syndrome—the need to move the
larger story arc along, and an ending that's not really an
ending, but a set-up for part three. Also, possibly because
of its short length, the characterizations were somewhat
sketchy. This doesn't ruin it—there was plenty of action,
and the characters were interesting. But, in my perfect
world, I'd wait for the third story, and then offer the
three together as an anthology. Full of action—on the streets, and in the sheets—The
Bodyguard: Nash is a quick, fun read. If you enjoy steamy
paranormal adventure, or are fans of Nic's and Elena's
story, you'll want to see Nash find his love as well.
