"Her world is unique, compelling, exciting and deeply sensual"
The Psy feel themselves so superior, especially with the
genetic isolation created by Silence, they forgot the days
of interspecies mating , the mixing of the races before the
horrible issues of Silence and Protocol. So, what
happened to all those that didn't survive Silence, or had
already mated or married or they all just long ago lost
memories, The Forgotten. Though, as the Psy seem so
willing to do in these days of revolution, murder,
emotional and political fallout, they concentrate on their
greed and their power comes first. Stopping the
psychopathic tendencies of some of their races is not
really profitable in many cases... murder continues. Talin McKade was afraid, so very afraid, but she was also
so very desperate and so very sick. She realizes she is
desperate enough to find Clay, struggle past her fears and
needs to seek out the strongest man she knew, also the
scariest and the one that seemed to threaten her very way
of thinking. There's so much pain to get past, so much
horror, so many memories of betrayals and possible death to
come. What she didn't count on when she went looking for
Clay to help her was finding a man that was so
instinctively hers; handsome, a strong sentinel, so
compelling and also so angry, angry at her, a man that she
had hurt to very the depths of his soul. Could that past
be laid to rest, could there be a future for them, most
assuredly not unless Tally can make up for her fears of the
past and survive a monster to even begin to hope for a
future. The last future she planned on was one including
Clay, but it was truly the only future she could ever have
wanted and that thought caused such pain. Clay is powerful, fury in Leopard form, anger personified
and isolation is a way of life for him, but he is also a
Sentinel for the DarkrRiver Pack. A pack that gave him
shelter and a sense of some belonging, but Clay couldn't
put his painful past to rest. Driven by rage and a need to
protect his precious Tally, Clay had been forced into a
killing rage that he paid a high price for, only to
discover he had lost the very thing in his life worth
killing for... his Tally. Believing her dead all these long
years the man grew angry and the beast grew angrier, when
she appears the depth of betrayal reaches his soul. But,
can Clay get past the hurt and pain to help the one woman
that despite all the pain she has brought him, he still can
not say no to? She is Talin, but she is a Talin that
betrayed him and made him the cold hearted, deadly sentinel
he is. However, his need of her is so strong he must
fight past the pain, if he can regain her love, trust and
not see him as a monster, he may see her devotion once more
and in return give her his as well. He must protect her
from the monster preying on her and the disease that
threatens the only woman that meant a thing to him. She is
in need of a protector once again, and despite it all, Clay
will protect her. The question is what will become of
them if she and he survive a battle of good vs. evil on a
murderous spree. And, all the while dealing with the
ruthless plans of the Psy Council; they are forming ever
more complex plans for the Changelings and humans alike. WOW! Brilliant is the best description for Mine to
Possess. This promises to be one of the best series on the
market in a long time. Ms. Singh is without a doubt, at
the top of my favorite author's list. Her world is unique,
compelling, exciting and deeply sensual. The emotions and
chemistry of the characters brings tears of sadness and
joy, laughter and lots of very breathlessly romantic
moments. This is a highly action packed and sensual
thriller, deep and intense, you will not be able to put it
down! Read this series, it's a must have for any true
lover of the paranormal and of romance, it just doesn't get
better then the best! I simply won't be able to wait for
the next book!
