"Unique Twist on the Vampire Premise"
Isabella (Bella) Swan moves to Forks, Washington to live
with her dad. She's not thrilled with the gloomy small
town where everyone knows each other. She makes friends
easily enough, but one boy, Edward Cullen has caught her
attention. She notices Edward and his family are different
from the other students: they're the most beautiful people
she's ever seen. Their eyes change colors from golden
color to black, and they move at an incredible speed.
Though Edward is moody and acts as if he doesn't like her,
Bella wants to know him better. Edward tries to stay away from Bella, but finds he can't.
Bella's blood calls to him and the allure doesn't stop
there. Along with his many other talents, Edward reads
minds, but he cannot read Bella's mind. She fascinates
him. Edward reveals his secret to Bella. He and his family are
vampires, who feed on animals only. They do not befriend
humans so not to be tempted, but for Edward's sake, his
family makes an exception with Bella. Then another Vampire clan shows up and they want Bella for
themselves---for a meal that is. Edward and his family will
do whatever it takes to keep Bella safe. This isn't just for young adults. I loved this story. Ms.
Meyer has written a believable romance with tension and
passion in each kiss, touch and glance. The unique twist
on the vampire premise is intriguing, making you want to
know more. Don't miss this seductive tale of true love. Reviewed by: Karen
