"Thrill-packed ride to save the human race!"
As an Alien Investigation and Removal agent, Jaxon Tremain
has been in some rough spots before, but this is about the
worst one he's been in to date. Right now, Jaxon is
a "guest" of some Delenseans and their hospitality leaves
quite a bit to be desired. It all started when Jaxon was
assigned to a special case. Turns out an alien species, the
Schon, have been infecting Earth women with a virus, and a
rather nasty one at that. Once the women are infected, they
become cannibalistic. The Schon have already wiped out a
couple planets and Jaxon's boss doesn't want Earth to be
next. Jaxon is supposed to find the Schon and neutralize
them. Now the Delenseans want to find out everything Jaxon
knows about the Schon. Jaxon knows he will die in this
nasty cell. In walks Mishka La'Ace, and of course, she's undercover.
See, Mishka isn't like normal people. She was created in a
top secret lab and trained to be a weapon for her owner.
She's also part machine with a chip in her head and
controlled by Senator Estap, a not very nice man. During
her life, Mishka has been forced to do all kinds of things
she didn't want to, but because of the chip, she had no
choice. The senator controls Mishka with pain. Her current
assignment is to save this agent and find out what he knows
about the Schon. Even though Mishka has never allowed herself to become
attached to anyone, she finds herself attracted to Jaxon.
Against her better judgment, the two of them begin a sexual
relationship and Mishka cares for Jaxon more than she
should, considering the senator. Is there any hope of a relationship between Mishka and
Jaxon? Will Jaxon's friends ever accept Mishka? What of the
senator? Will he allow Mishka to have a relationship? Will
Jaxon do nothing about the chip? And don't forget the
Schon. Will they get a foothold on Earth? SAVOR ME SLOWLY is a thrilling, adventure-packed read. Take
a genetically engineered woman, throw in a spy, stir in a
plot to destroy humanity and add love into the mix for a
fantastic story. Gena Showalter has a way of taking an
extremely vulnerable heroine and making her not only
lovable, but loved. The action is nonstop as Mishka and
Jaxon try to keep the Schon from infecting too many women
with the virus. If you enjoy a story filled with all kinds
of danger and a love to beat the odds, don't miss this one.
