The world is changing, evolving, progressing towards the

he has new allegiances, but he also has secrets, dark ones
only the coldest of cold Psy have the kind of secrets he

truly dangerous he is. Silence was perfected for beings
like him after all, nothing shook his Silence, nothing
until Brenna. The small and beautiful wolf changeling
survived the most horrific of brutal acts his race could
inflict and yet she lived, she amazed him, stunned him.

really, wasn't the beautiful, vibrant woman she had been
once, she was far from it now. Secrets cloud her mind in
the aftermath of the psychopathic killers "experiments",
the lone survivor of his tortures, she lives with the
horrors he forever put into her world. Now she is seeing
new horrors in her dreams, another killer's brutal acts
that mimic her own horrors, or is she losing her mind?
The horrors that threatened to destroy her somehow abated
when she was with Judd, somehow she was safe even if he was
a Man of Ice. A Psy so powerful, so mysterious, so
incredible in his beauty and so cold that he was the
epitome of everything she should fear. The wolf inside
her wants to warm his heart of ice, if only her heart and
mind hadn't been damaged forever, maybe she could. Though
she lived through her ordeals, she is not normal anymore
and that could threaten her future. Survival comes with
another far steeper price, being a target yet again. She
may not live long enough to worry about the trauma that
threatens her mind, her very life is in danger and only one
incredibly handsome and deadly Psy can keep her safe, or
will he hurt her far worse then any other Psy or
changeling? Could she trust him with her heart and body
and trust him with her mind as well, without endangering
his life in the process. If they live, maybe she will find
out. I am absolutely impressed! I have become an addicted fan
to Ms. Singh's work. This book has depth and heart that
is stunning, I had a hard time putting it down. The
mystery, politics and intrigue as always are amazing, the
Psy and Changeling conflicts are incredible, evolving and
exciting. This is action packed as well as sexy as all
get out! The emotional development reaches your heart and
leads to such explosive chemistry, that coupled with the
need to keep turning pages makes this one of my favorite
new series. I can not recommend Nalini Singh enough, she
is simply a MUST read, truly a star in the paranormal
romance world.
