"an entertaining regency romance"
Jordan, Viscount Rexford, has inherited the family gift of
discerning the truth from a lie, although sometimes he
doesn't see it
as
a gift. Rex has returned from the war wounded in body and
spirit. In
an attempt to get Rex out of his emotional funk, his father
sends him
to
London to prove the innocence of Miss Amanda Carville.
Amanda was
found
with a gun in her hand, standing over the body of her dead
stepfather.
Since all evidence points to her guilt, Amanda is sent to
jail. When
Rex finds Amanda in prison , she is near death from the
brutal
treatment afforded her in prison. Rex saves Amanda and
makes it his
mission to find the real murderer. TRULY YOURS is an entertaining regency romance with
interesting
characters and an intriguing mystery. Rex is a tortured
hero, sunk
into
a depression, until he is given a reason to live and finds
love with
Amanda. After her ordeal in prison, Amanda decides to
enjoy life,
while
she still can. The mystery contained within TRULY YOURS
kept me
guessing until nearly the end, and Ms. Metzger did a good
job of
creating worthy suspects. All in all, TRULY YOURS is an
enjoyable
regency romance, which I recommend.

Alone in the world, Amanda Carville has no dowry, no reputation left, and no one who believes her to be innocent of murder, since she was found holding the gun that killed her stepfather. Viscount Rexford also has his troubles. He's scarred by war, and cursed-or blessed-with the family trait of knowing the truth when he hears it, and his success at extracting the truth from military prisoners has left many doubting his honor and his methods. When Amanda tells him she didn't do it, he believes her. Tired of the truth business, Rex refuses to get involved...until his heart leaves him no choice.
