"a tender and touching story set in a time of power and struggle"
A witch in fear for her life, a warrior in fear for his
clan... Adela MacAye is a witch who is the last of a long line of
witches. Her family has used their magick for good of
others. But now she seeks a refuge as she has seen death.
She has felt the heat of death. She foresaw the death of
her mother and now she foresees her own death. A very
painful death by burning. Adela is aware that her family's
magick will die with her unless she can produce a child to
pass her wise ways and magick down to. But with her own
life coming to a close producing a child will be a
difficult task; however, one she has set her mind to do.
Thus, she sets out to find the chosen one. To produce this child, Adela sets a spell that will lead
her to her child's father. And there, in the midst of the
forest, she meets Phillip Roberts, a Clansman who must save
his people and stop the warring that exists between the
clan of Lady Torella and his clan. Phillip is enchanted by
Adela yet their future was not to be. Phillip issues a command that the "witch" be brought to him
for a potion that will make him love Lady Torella so that
he could seal their union and forever stop the battle that
has gone on for centuries. Pleasantly, he learns that the
beautiful woman whom he made love to long ago is the Last
Celtic Witch, the witch that he summoned to his castle. Lady Torella has her own agenda for Phillip and Adela.
Between the three there is a struggle for power. Can
magick overcome? Will love overcome? Will history repeat
itself? I loved this story. It's very tender and touching, yet the
emotions of the characters pulled me through the pages.
Ms. Armstrong has created strong characters with good
hearts. The story is set in a time of power and struggle.
It is easy for the reader to start cheering her favorite
character along. I am anxious for the next story...Ms. Armstrong, please write
faster. This Celtic Witch has me hooked.
