"a sweet story that has it all"
Unknown to Trevor Lynbrook his grandfather has plans for
him. Since Trevor had had to give up medicine, which he
loved, when his Father died, he had started to worry more
about wines and women. His Grandfather wants to stop things
before they go too far. With the help of an old friend, he
sends Trevor to Oklahoma Territory to help run a clinic
which is next to a Cheyenne Reservation where Lucy Willis
works as a teacher. See, when Trevor's father died he
received the title of Earl of Greylock, and in receiving
that name he turned away from what he was good at,
medicine. So his Grandfather is helping him see the light
by sending him to a friend that needs their help with the
Clinic, and of course the woman who was called Lucy Willis.
Will Trevor find himself? Will he find that medicine is
what he was born to do? And that Lucy was the woman he was
born to love? Lucy Willis is a woman that loves life, thrives on life and
it shows in her job as a teacher. So Lucy has her head on
straight, knows what she wants out of her life, and pompous
people are not one of them. When Lucy meets Trevor, he
reminds her of a pompous know it all who thinks they are
better than everyone else, she doesn't have the time for
people like that. She says from the start there is no way
that she will become one of his many conquests, no matter
how he makes her feel. Can Trevor see what is right in
front of his face, that Lucy is the woman for him, that
will show him how great life can be if you are with the
person you are meant to be with? Or will ignorance stand in
their way? Barbara Sheridan has one of those voices in her writing
that makes the storyline come alive. This is a sweet story
that has it all. You have Trevor that has not figured out
what he wants out of life. He is still playing around. Then
there is Lucy that is a ray of sunshine, she embraces life.
No matter what Barbara Sheridan writes her stories
come "Alive", with love and fantasy that you are drawn
into.

Trevor Lynbrook was indulged in pursuing medicine and became a promising surgeon. After his father dies leaving him heir to the title as Earl of Greylock he is forced to give up medicine and turns his attention to wine, women and song. To save Trevor from himself his grandfather volunteers him to aid an old friend in America and Trevor is sent to Oklahoma Territory to run a clinic adjacent to the Cheyenne reservation where Lucy Willis teaches school. Down to earth and happy with a simple life, Lucy has no time for pompous people who think they're better than everyone else and she certainly doesn't like Trevor's superior attitude. She refuses to be one of his conquests...no matter how much he thrills her.
