"a strong time travel adventure"
Skylar Creighton never thought that helping someone in
need would change her life so hugely, but that is what
happened. When a homeless man is attacked and stabbed for
something he has, he goes into her bookstore. Before the
man that stabbed the homeless man can get the Green
Crystal, he puts it in Skylar's hands. The crystal sends
Skylar into the cabin of Rand Edward Jamison's Red Sky, a
pirate's ship of all places, could things get any weirder?
But when she meets the captain of the ship she already
knows him by the pages of the journal he had wrote with
his own hands. How can this be happening? See Skylar had
been dreaming of Rand for years, since the first time she
read his words. But Rand thinks she is his dead wife that
has come back to him. She has to tell him who she is and
where she has come from, even if it takes away from this
man touching her. But she can't let him think she is his
dead wife, she wants him to want to touch her, Skylar, not
his dead wife Emma. All Skylar wants is for this man to
see her for who she is, and for them to have somewhat of a
future together. All she wants is for Rand to touch her
and to share there bodies together, and when they do it is
explosive, all that she ever dreamed of and more. But when
Rand's sworn enemy gets a hold of the sistrum and wants to
take her away from the man she loves, will they be able to
keep her safe and away from this evil man? Rand thinks he hears something coming from his cabin, when
he goes to investigate, he finds a woman. At first he
thinks she is one of his enemies that has come to kill
him, hired by Owain Cutler his sworn enemy. But oh is he
wrong, he finds that the woman in his cabin is his dead
wife that has come back to him. But when she starts to
talk, she talks so differently than his beloved wife did.
He is so confused, this is his Emma, or is it? When she
tells him she is from the future and had traveled back to
his time, he is shocked and not sure what to think. All
Rand knows is that he wants this woman, wants to touch her
and feel alive again. After he had lost his wife he had
been not really living. This woman has brought back his
want to live. But when Cutler steals the Sistrum and
decides he wants Skylar also, all Rand knows is that he
can't lose her again and he enlists the help of a Hudu
woman to send her back to her time and away from the hands
of Cutler. But that isn't the end of it; he must find a
way to get to Skylar before Cutler kills her in the
future. Will he be in time? This was such a strong story. You have Rand Edward Jamison
who was a pirate from the past who had been grieving since
he had lost his wife Emma. But he hears something from his
cabin, and goes in and thinks the woman he sees is his
dead wife that had come back to him. When Skylar helps a
homeless man she is thrust back in time and into the arms
of the man of her dreams, Rand Edward Jamison. This story
was just great, you have intrigue, an enemy of Rand that
wants all he has and more, so of course then he wants
Skylar, right? Yep you've got it right. But will Rand let
the love of his life be taken away from him a second time?
I guess if you want to know you have to go and buy the
book, hahahah. No you won't be sorry if you buy and read
this book, I sure enjoyed it.

When terminally ill Skylar Creighton tries to aid an injured homeless man who's been stabbed, his attacker follows him into her bookstore demanding a green crystal. When the victim shoves a pale green gem into her hands, the mysterious crystal sends her hurtling into the cabin of the Rand Edward Jamison's Red Sky, a pirate ship. The captain—she knows and loves from the yellowed pages of his own journals. When Rand hears a noise in his cabin, his senses go on full alert. Finding an interloper, he's sure his enemy, Owain Cutler, has found an assassin. What Rand doesn't expect to find is his deceased wife Emma's reincarnation. When this stranger unleashes her tongue with her sarcastic retorts he's confused. Is she or isn't she Emma? And what is all this nonsense about traveling through time from the future? Skylar's been fantasizing about Rand for years, and Rand's convinced she's his dead wife returned to him. Between her new love giving her a determination to live and his old one giving him the determination to save her life, she's shortly begging he ravage her like the pirate that he is. But then Cutler steals the sistrum, and he's after Emma -
or is it Skylar? He enlists the aid of a Hudu woman to send her own to her own time, because he will not lose her again. Now all Rand has to do is find a way to get to Skylar and keep Cutler from killing her in a future three hundred years away.
