"Move over Stephanie Plum, Sophie Green has arrived!"
Move over Stephanie Plum, Sophie Green has arrived. Sophie is back in action. And an Ugley action it is!
What more can a girl ask for? A job with an airline
giving her free travel privileges. A hunk for a boyfriend
(hmmm....??) who everyone wants. A cute little gun in her
purse. And, by the way, she's a spy! Things heat up when her friend Angel shows up and catches
Sophie and Luke in bed together. Wow, was that a shock.
Angel is surprised to find out she knew nothing about the
boyfriend. Shock again when Sophie finds out that Angel is her next
assignment. Someone is stalking her, so Sophie and Luke
have been assigned to watch her. Angel is the daughter of
famous parents, her father having been murdered years
ago. Her mother was a sex goddess of whom Sophie is a
mirror image. Ms. Johnson brings back some old friends from the first
book: Harvey, Ted (the wonderful vehicle), Tammy (her
cat), her parents and Maria. She introduces us to a
couple of new characters: Karen aka One and Docherty.
Docherty has brooding eyes, a sullen face but has the
sweetest of all crotch rocket type cars which Sophia
immediately takes over. Oh darn, the car gets blown up.
Hmmm, think that one rivals Stephanie Plum's. Sophie is
constantly running amuck, capturing her crook while giving
the reader a laugh out loud time. One crook even
said "she's crazy!" Ugley Business is a great story full of action, smart
remarks, lots of British humor and characters that I wish
I could meet. As I previously said, Move over Stephanie
Plum. Sophie is here!
