"a witty vampire whodunit"
Jo Gartner had it tough being a teacher to teens with
hormones raging all over the place, it's hard on a person.
But an inept vampire proved her wrong by a long shot. Jo's
life is even more of a pain in the butt when she is bitten
by a vampire and of course when you are bitten what
happens to you? Yep. you become the Undead! But since she
is bitten by an incompetent vampire, she has all the
problems of a vampire, but of course none of the perks
that usually come with being a vampire, what else could go
wrong? Gee, you shouldn't curse yourself too soon, as Jo finds
out. She comes across a dead body with bite marks in the
neck. She must find out who did it before what happened to
her gets out, and she is running out of time, and fast.
And on top of that, the detective who is head of the
murder case is not calling her back. And of course when
time is running out and she needs her body to be strong
and her head on straight, what happens? Yep, you got it,
her body starts changing, and in embarrassing, not
flattering ways. And someone wants her dead; great, what
fun are we having now? So will Jo find out who the killer
is before it is too late? Will they find out about her
predicament before it the case is solved and wonder if by
chance she had something to do with the murder? Liz Jasper wrote a very intriguing story with great twists
and turns that kept you wondering what was going to happen
next. And the great thing was the way she uses such witty
humor, with Jo going through changes with her
transformation, and not in a good way. I loved the way
that she portrayed the vampire in this story as well. Liz
Jasper wrote a strong story, I can't wait to read more by
this author.
