"a great short paranormal romance"
Penny Marsh is in a bind, while in a fit she told her
cousin she has been dating someone and would be bringing
him to the wedding. But the truth is she is not dating
anyone, she isn't even sure if she is over what her cousin
did to her. Her sister jokingly suggested that she should
hire someone to take her to the wedding. So Penny figures she is just desperate enough and she
contacts the escort agency, Studs for Hire. Penny was not
aware that Studs for Hire is not your normal everyday
escort service, but is actually a mate finding business
for the paranormals. When her date arrives at her door she is pleasantly
surprised by the site of Nicholas and thinks that they at
least got the name of the service right. Nicholas
Carradine thinks that Penny is even more beautiful in
person than the photos of her he saw. He is instantly
attracted to her, curves and all and tries to tell her and
she believes it is just a line he gives to all the girls. Will Penny be able to get though the night without anyone
finding out who her date is? What will she do once she
learns that Nicholas is more than he seems in several
different ways, including no longer being human? In this great short story Eve Vaughn shows us that
although life does not go the way we think it should,
there is a plan and someone out there for everyone. I
loved that she was able to give so much life to the
characters and make me connect with them, which I know is
hard to do in a short story. I also loved that Penny was
not perfect physically. So for a great short paranormal
romance with a dash of humor I would recommend this story.
