"Love and Trust all Wrapped up in a whopping dose of Humor!"
Jillian Greene has nothing resembling a normal life. As a
young girl, she caught her father in the act with another
woman. When Jillian's mother found out about the affair,
it pushed her into a depression. As if the guilt of
knowing about the affair wasn't enough, Jillian had to be
the one to find her mother after a suicide attempt. Ever
since then Jillian has hated men. Knows men can't be
faithful and has the perfect job to bear that premise out—
human bait at Catch a Mate, the place women go to find out
if their mates are cheating on them or not. Jillian has
been dreaming of buying the company from her boss and has
great plans for it. So when her boss sells the company to—
of all things—a man, Jillian is a bit upset. And not just
any man, but Marcus Brody, the sexiest man Jillian has
ever seen. Everything about him turns her on, from his
accent to his toned body. Marcus Brody grew up in the business, as it were. His
father had the same type of company as Catch a Mate and
didn't have a problem with getting a bit on the side. So,
needless to say, when his marriage didn't work out, Marcus
became a bit of a woman hater. He knows women can't be
trusted and as bait, he proves it. Just ready to start
expanding his business, he buys Catch a Mate and one of
his employees, Jillian Greene to be exact, lets him know
in no uncertain terms she is not happy with being his
employee. Not surprisingly, everything about the black-
haired beauty turns Marcus on and sparks fly whenever the
two of them are together. Will these two people have a chance at love? Will they
allow themselves to feel anything for the other? Will the
trust issues they have destroy any chance for a possible
future between them? CATCH A MATE is a wonderfully funny read. Gena Showalter
once again proves her talent in combining humor and love
in a story that left me with the heartfelt sigh at the
end. I loved the way the chapters all begin with a pick up
line, and usually a cheesy one at that! And while this
book may seem like a lighthearted read in the beginning,
it deals with some very heavy issues, from depression to
infidelity, lack of trust to no self-confidence. And we
even get the benefit of a secondary romance in this one
between Jillian's best friend and her brother. This is a
story for anyone who believes in love and I highly
recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Jillian Greene is always getting caught in the act…in fact, it’s her job! Working at Catch A Mate, Jillian gets paid by suspicious wives to smile, flirt, and prove that no man can be trusted around the opposite sex. Her only ground rule? She never gets physical. Until a heart-stoppingly gorgeous hottie walks in… Marcus Brody has just been hired as bait to test female fidelity. But the last thing Jillian needs is a partner…especially this infuriating, irresistible man who’s got her fantasizing about tearing off his clothes. Can a savvy modern woman find happiness with the most tempting man she’s ever known? Is there such a thing as a totally monogamous male?
