"an erotic spin on the tale of the Frog Prince"
Thomas Adler was stuck at work on a day that was getting
worse and worse with the snow still falling. His boss told
him not close down and leave for another couple of hours
but by that time the roads would be so bad that the drive
home that only took 20 minutes would take two hours. As he
is waiting for work to be over, he is doing a new shelf
display and finds himself talking to a stuffed frog. He is
so drawn to the frog that when he goes home he can't leave
without buying it. The smile on the frog's face makes him
laugh and feel good. As he is driving home he is distracted by the frog; he
loses control of the car, and starts to spin out. He looks
over at the frog, and is it just him or does the frog look
like it is scared that they might crash? He hits a tree
and the next thing he feels is a lot of pain and then sees
black. He hears a frog croak, could this be? When he sees
the frog, Eric, he can't believe his eyes. Not only that,
but there is no snow and this is not the road that he had
been on before the crash. What is going on here? When
Thomas sees and talks to Eric he feels a connection like
no other. All he knows is that Eric makes him feel alive
again, and makes his heart go a mile a minute. Has Thomas
died and gone to heaven? Or is this the man that will make
all his dreams come true? Well, I loved the other books I have read by Ms. Buchanan,
but wasn't sure about this one, but boy did she change my
mind. I started reading and it thought, "Frog" but boy
this author pulled it off. The way that even in a short
story like this one there was a connection between the two
that made you know and feel that they were soul mates, and
meant to be together. I look forward to this author's
future books, she is an auto read for me.
