"I love this series with a passion!"
Finally the crew landed on Damphir IV and the Vampires
welcomed them, even with their one human member, Adlet.
Ferda the other human among them has been with Drake and
Rand since they came together and needed a "Feeder". The
sensual delights she receives with them is worth giving
some blood. Besides, over time she has grown to care for
these men/vampires. Going back to the planet Damphir she
sees a long lost lover, the vampire Julius Roma, now the
leader of the colony. They had shared a past and Julius
was her first vampire love. Meanwhile, Adlet is having
some trouble with other vampires; will Rand help him? As their luck goes, the planet's Cryonics Scientist was
able to help the woman they had found in there cargo. She
has no memory of who she was or where she was from, but
she remembers one thing, the name "Gelda". They plan
another voyage to Hera to gather any information that will
help her. And that means going back to the last customer
they had to find out if they know anything about Gelda's
past, home or anything about her. And of course the crew
is not happy about that, because the last customer was
Zadde, a slime ball; dealing with him will be more pain
than fun. Will they find out who she is and where she is
from? Will Ferda be able to walk away from Juluis to stay
with the crew that she has grown to love? Or will this
bring all of them closer together? I love this series with a passion! I have read each and
every one so far and look forward to the next one that is
for sure. I don't know if I am alone, but I want Ferda and
Drake to end up together, and for her to become a vampire.
I love that vampire and think he deserves someone of his
own. I look forward to the next in this series.

Our wandering space crew lands on Damphir IV, a planet inhabited by vampires, safe haven for both their undeclared passenger and their damaged ship. Ferda shares a passionate reunion with Julius Roma, her first vampire lover -- now commandant of the colony -- while Adlet finds trouble among several thousand amorous vampires. When the colony’s best cryonics scientists succeed in resuscitating their unregistered “cargo,” she awakens with no memory other than a name -- Gelda. Adlet in tow, Drake, Rand, and Ferda set course for Hera and a long talk with their last customer about Gelda’s origins. Extracting such dangerous information out of a weasel like Zadde might be more than an ordinary crew would attempt -- but this isn’t an ordinary crew.
