Damali Richards, (Vampire Huntress) is having some serious doubts about being with her soul mate Carlos Rivera, (ex- vampire). Instead of opening up to Carlos, she shuts him out and turns to a mysterious stranger, who is in tune with her creativity, something Carlos has never understood completely. This new being was banished to the forsaken land of Nod and he has his own agenda. The choices Damali makes will not only jeopardize her soul and tip the balance of good vs. evil with evil getting the upper hand, but she may possibly lose her heart as well.

Ms. Banks weaves a tale around folklore, myths and religion as she dwells on what it means to be in a relationship. Her characters are memorable and come alive with their heartfelt passion. Highly recommended!

This series is definitely best to start at the beginning. The love interests, the friendship and the bonds only strengthen with each story. This is something the reader does not want to miss.
