"Dream Guardians are every woman's fantasy"
A day without exhaustion is what Lyssa seeks. She's been
exhausted for as long as she can remember. Her family and
friends are worried about her and her exhaustion has
affected her work at the veterinary clinic. It's in that
exhaustion and sleep that Lyssa finally lets herself
dream. And those dreams bring her the man of her dreams,
Captain Aidan Cross.
Captain Aidan Cross is a Dream Guardian; a warrior against
the Nightmares. In an alternative universe he patrols
people's dreams, protecting them against the Nightmares.
Lyssa wouldn't allow herself to dream until Aidan cross
showed her how. She was afraid to dream, afraid of
Aidan and Lyssa's relationship was so passionate and such
a strong force that Aidan became Human in order to protect
Lyssa from harm. Little did Lyssa realize when Aidan
showed up at her door that she was about to fight for her
life. Her emotional state was warring with herself, while
Aidan was warring for her life!
Sylvia Day has been a favorite of mine and this book is no
exception. She is an expert at writing women's
fantasies. The sex is HOT, HOT, HOT. The emotional
turmoil that the characters go through drives the reader
from page to page as they become involved with the
characters. Aidan is such a hunk, as he is, after all,
every woman's fantasy. Lyssa is very likable and is
immediately a friend to the reader. Her fantasy of beach
life is definitely a fantasy of mine!
Lyssa's mother, Cathryn Bates is a wonderful supporting
character and Lyssa's assistant at the veterinary clinic,
Stacey, needs a story of her own! Watch out for the
I thoroughly enjoyed the premise of an all encompassing
love. Through universal spans, love protects Lyssa. That
is every woman's fantasy. I cried with Lyssa as she
struggles and fights for her fantasy.
Ms. Day has left plenty of opportunities for other stories
and I hope they come quickly. I want to know more of the
Guardians and the dreams that they protect!
