"this book has everything!"
"Never underestimate the blonde." Meet Sophie Green, airline personnel working for Ace
Airlines. Underpaid, under challenged, and late for work
everyday. But at least she can say she works for an
airline and people will think cute uniforms and bubbly
people. But this day is different. Sophie gets hired as
a spy! SO 17, Special Operations Seventeen has one green
spy on their hands. Enter Luca or Luke as he is commonly known. Luke is tall,
British, has an accent to die for and is extremely good
looking. What woman would say no? Sophie is a spy like no other. She goes after the bad guy
or guys with gusto. She can break into anything and
doesn't like being told she can't have a gun. Compare her
to Stephanie Plum with Bubbles thrown in for fun. She
drives an old bile colored car which Luke can't believe is
still on the road. Action, counterfeiters, gunfire,
firebombs, fingers in the mail, a quick trip overseas, a
plane crash and a trail of drinks keeps her on the mission
of finding her suspect. With Luke bailing her out of
trouble and ready for action of the non-detective type,
this book has everything! Kate Johnson has created a wonderful set of characters.
Sophie Green is adorable. She's quirky, full of smart
comebacks, mom to Tammy, and ready for a "to die for"
career. Luke makes her heart take off to 200 mph in 60
seconds. He's the good looking, smart, sophisticated spy
who is her partner and takes on the formidable task of
training her. The other characters in the spy
organization are also interesting, One, Two, Three; all
names used for security. Ms. Johnson sets her story in any airport, with any
airline where all of us have been in line. I would love
to have Ms. Green as my flight attendant. She would keep
everyone laughing the whole trip. This is one book which if were in print, I would have on
my keeper shelf!
