"Lynne Connolly has out done herself in the second book of the Dept 57 series"
Josh Friedland is a griffin shape-shifter that works for
Dept 57, along with his brother Laurie. Laurie is missing
and Josh will do anything to get him back. Josh goes to
the house of George Skeffington, the man that bought his
football team, the Manchester Rovers, (think soccer) near
the area where his brother was last seen. Josh knows
there's something wrong because he cannot contact Laurie
even though they have a deep telepathic bond. The thing he
has to figure out is does George or his delightful
stepdaughter Chana Rafiz have anything to do with the
disappearance of his brother. Chana Rafiz has spent most of her life trying to get out
from under the heavy hand of her stepfather. Every time
she thinks she's gotten away he uses his influence and
money to force her back home. She agrees to be his
hostess, for 1 year and an exorbitant amount of money,
along with a written contract stating that he has to let
her go after the year is up. Chana decides that her fee
will fund her new life. She doesn't count on meeting the
ultra sexy Josh Friedland, but can Chana get past the
playboy act to find the real man? A Griffin's Treasure is a delightful book, with a swift
plot that twists and turns more than a Twizzler. Lynne
Connolly has out done herself in the second book of the
Dept 57 series. Her character development is amazing.
These characters make you root for them and boo the bad
guys. I loved this book; in fact love all of the Dept 57
books. Lynne Connolly has created a richly diverse world
that blends the different supernatural realms. This is a
good addition to anyone's library that loves the
paranormal. I will be watching for more of this series. I
can't say enough about this book, run don't walk to buy
these.
