"paranormal romance mixed with suspense and intrigue"
Dept 57 is back and has a problem; someone is leaking
information about it to a different branch of the CIA. In
order to find out who is leaking the information Cristos,
sends in Andreas undercover. While on his mission Andreas
Constant must play the part of the office wolf and slacker
in order to get close to everyone at the DIB. From the beginning Andreas is attracted to Roz Templeton
and saves her for last. When he finally gets to her, he
finds out that she is a vampire too. Roz has also been
working undercover in the DIB for her vampire family, to
find out who captured, tortured and killed two of her
family members last year. Not sure what to do since his
duty and his body are saying two different things; Andreas
does not let Roz know he is a vampire also. Things take a turn when the head of the DIB sends Roz to
Dept 57 to spy on them, and has Andreas pose as her live-
in boyfriend. At first neither of them are too happy with
the situation, until they are left alone together. It
becomes evident that there is some major chemistry between
the two that neither can deny and things become super hot. Rubies of Fire is the third book in the Dept 57 series,
but can be read as a stand alone. Once you read it though,
you will want to go back and read them all! (1 - Jewel of
the Dragon 2 - A Griffin's Treasure) Lynne Connolly has
created a very diverse set of characters that is sure to
make anyone who loves paranormal romance mixed with
suspense and intrigue, a fan.
