"An unusual urban fantasy"
Jezebel is a succubus, who displeased the higher-ups in
Hell and
now has a price on her head. Unwilling to return to Hell
and running
from all manner of nasty demons, Jezebel turns to a witch
for help.
Jezebel gets the witch to turn her into a human and give
her an amulet
to ward off evil--she is now a human without a soul who
looks like the
witch. After stealing the witch's ID, money, clothes, and
credit
cards,
Jezebel runs to New York. On the way, Jezebel meets a very
attractive
man, Paul Hamilton, who helps her and gives her his phone
number. Once
in New York, Jezebel gets a job as an exotic dancer and
tries to adjust
to being a human. Will one of the denizens of Hell be able
to collect
on the reward for Jezebel and can a human without a soul
find true
love? HELL'S BELLES is an unusual urban fantasy with gritty
moments and
romantic elements. Jezebel, who is obsessed with sex as a
succubus,
doesn't change that aspect of her personality as a human.
However, she
becomes a lot nicer to those around her and slowly grows
more human and
sympathetic. While I found the continuous shifting in the
book from
past to present a little distracting, the premise was
fresh and the
plot engaging.

Hell on Earth starts here…
**A PNR Reviewer Recommended Read** Jezebel’s not your average exotic dancer. For one thing, she’s a 4,000-year-old succubus. For another, she’s on the run from Hell (which isn’t easy to do in high heels). Hiding on the mortal coil as a human doesn’t protect her from muggers, lactose intolerance…or having feelings for Paul Hamilton, a man haunted by his past. Demons are closing in, which is enough to make Jezebel shiver in her G-string. But it’s her love for Paul that’s going to have deadly consequences. (Humans, she laments, really should come with instruction manuals.)
