"superbly written story!"
Now that the six of the circle have been found, the
sorcerer, the witch, the scholar, the shape-shifter, the
vampire and the demon hunter, they prepare to depart to
Gaell, where the final battle will take place on Samhain
at
the Valley of Silence. In this book you are taken into Lilith's lair, seeing how
horrifically evil she truly is, (not that there was any
doubt). The team will face danger and narrow escapes that
keep you wanting to turn to the next page. You will also
get a glimpse of the legendary Gaell and the people who
will help with the fight against Lilith and her undead
army. This story is also centered on Blair, the demon hunter,
and Larkin, the shape-shifter. Blair is haunted by her past: a father that has dismissed
her and an ex-fiancé that couldn't except that she hunted
demons. She is left with the feeling that she must stand-
alone, that no one would ever want her, but Larkin sees
her differently. To him, she is a beautiful, strong woman
that he wants. They butt heads more times than not,
though there is always that underline attraction that
finally turns to uncontrollable lust. I loved the first book, but I have to say that I enjoyed
Blair and Larkin's story even more, for though Larkin is
this strong, sometimes an archaic strap of a man, he is
also sensitive to the fact that though Blair is a true
warrior, she is also a woman that has been deeply hurt.
She in turn is aware that Larkin, this shape-shifting man
has many layers, which makes him who he is. He can be
ferocious when the time comes, but he never loses his
sense of humanity. I truly enjoyed this superbly written story! I look
forward to the third installment that will surely tell us
about Cian, the vampire and Moira, the princess of Gaell. Courtesy Karen
