"Fantastic look at what happens when two different cultures collide!"
Tar, ruler of Zylar, has been waiting for Mica, the High
Priest, to find his life-mate for way too many life- cycles
for his liking. Now that Mica has finally found her, Tar
has no intention of taking things slowly. Why Mica is
warning him to take care, Zylar has no idea. Of course, the
fact his life-mate is on the planet Earth has absolutely no
significance to Tar. So off he goes to Earth and brings his
woman back to Zylar to his separate place (where he lives
when not at the ruling place), after putting the links on
her. Now, all he has to do is get her to accept her fate
and train her in the ways of Zylar. Nyssa is pretty much in the dumps right now. Having given
her all to her job, she never bothered with a social life.
So when she loses said job, she has absolutely nothing and
no one to talk to. Thoroughly depressed, Nyssa decides to
go to bed. Imagine her surprise when she wakes up to find
chains all over body and in a strange bed. When she's
greeted by a man who informs her she is his life-mate and
she is now on the planet Zylar, Nyssa is not exactly
pleased, to put it mildly. What happens when an totally independent career woman meets
a man psychically controlling her through the "links"?
Zylar is a totally male dominated society and as ruler, Tar
has about the worst chauvinistic attitude of any male on
the planet. Will Nyssa willingly submit to Zylar? Will she
develop any psychic abilities of her own? ZYLAR'S MOONS BOOK 1: ZYLAN CAPTIVE is a wonderful
introduction into the planet Zylar. Ravyn Wilde has given
us an intriguing look into the Zylar customs and leaves us
wondering exactly what will happen to the planet's society
after the claiming ceremony. Zylar is quite a different
world as well with its three moons, two suns, and different
colored plants and water. We have a woman, trying to retain
some self of herself, while being overwhelmed by the sheer
sensuality of her mate and his control of the links. This
is an absorbing tale which kept me turning pages long after
I should have been asleep. The action is hot, the world
building is just right and the emotions between Tar and
Nyssa are very realistic of just what would occur in such a
situation. This is one story I highly recommend! Posted October 26, 2005

She is an Earthling who has mysteriously been transported
to another galaxy, to another planet. Zylar is nothing like
she has ever imagined. And yet, here she is—and apparently
life-mated to Tar. If he knows what's good for him, he'll
start doing some explaining: What are these gold chains
that are attached to certain...um...delicate parts of her body
and, just what in the hell is happening to her? She's
starting to change...
He is Tar, ruler of Zylar. He has found his life-companion
and he's not about to let her go. He is going to enjoy
instructing her in her new duties—duties she'll perform as
a traditional Zylan woman. She isn't stupid so it shouldn't
take long at all for her to learn to be submissive and to
do whatever he says, when he says it. After all, Earth
women aren't that hard to tame. Ah, life is good!
