"Chilling horror story!"
College student Peggy Walsh, daughter of Senator Dan Walsh,
can't believe how stupid she was. At a concert with her
friend, she can't believe she came out here with the two
guys that locked her into the back of the van. Contrary to
what she thought, she's not alone in here. There's a pair
of eyes looking at her with weird red dots in the middle of
them. The man's voice is compelling and that's the last
thing she remembers until she wakes up on a thin lumpy
mattress in an old cabin. The Senator is frantic when his daughter ends up missing.
He enlists the aid of the FBI. They discover Peggy has been
taken to the CEL (Church of Eternal Life) compound and the
leader of the CEL is one Stephen Farkas. There was one kid
that managed to escape from the CEL, but he isn't talking.
When the FBI doesn't move quickly enough to suit the
Senator, he enlists the aid of a physic, Dr. Renascut, and
his assistant, Kathleen Van Braam. Of course, the FBI agent
assigned to the case, Agent LoMonaco, tries to talk the
Senator out of working with Renascut. LoMonaco finally
decides to storm the CEL compound and the result is total
chaos, just as Renascut predicted. The FBI would fire their
weapons at the "Night Guard" and they wouldn't fall! Meanwhile, Peggy has attracted the special attention of
Farkas because of her famous father. Will Peggy ever be rescued from the CEL? What of the other
people living there? What of the mysterious Dr. Renascut
and his assistant? DANCE WITH THE DRAGON is a chilling horror story. E.F.
Watkins has done a wonderful job of bringing her characters
to life in this story. We feel Peggy's despair as she
begins to accept she won't be rescued. Farkas' "cows" are
kept in horrible conditions no one should have to live
through. Their only hope is in some day becoming one of
the "elite" and getting to live at the manse with Farkas.
And then there's Renascut. We're kept waiting to the end of
the story to learn his secrets. And his relationship with
Kathleen Van Braam, who has secrets of her own. If you
enjoy a good horror, I definitely recommend E.F. Watkins
