On her way to a party in Rio, heiress Cherise Sartori has the feeling something is wrong. She's been sitting in this airport for way too long waiting for her pilot to return. When she wakes up, Cherise realizes she has been kidnapped! Here Cherise thought she was dropping off a payment to Evelyn Tay only to find out she is part of that payment. The sexy driver is also here and it turns out he's the famous relic hunter, Leif Gerritsen.

Exactly what is going on here? What is Evelyn after and what does Cherise have to do with it? How is Leif Gerritsen involved in whatever scheme is going on?

Summary Cherise Sartori, a jaded heiress to the biggest jewelry empire in the world, has done it all and lived to tell Vogue about it. When Cherise's uncle Laslo Sartori asks her to deliver a locked briefcase to his business partner on her way to a wild party in Rio de Janeiro, least of all she expects to be kidnapped by the handsome, cocky driver that meets her at the airport.

Soon Cherise discovers that the goal of her kidnapping is more terrifying than ransom. The locked case is full of loose diamonds—a half of the payment for the bargain Laslo Sartori struck with Evelyn Tay. And the second half of the payment is Cherise herself.
