REVIEW

"highly recommended, an enjoyable paranormal, erotic romance"

Josephine Lomax, a junior accountant for Wells and Mason Mechanics, discovers something fishy in the company books. She sets up a meeting with her immediate boss to reveal her findings. When she arrives for the meeting, she overhears her boss conspiring with a policeman to hide their dirty dealings. The cop tells Josephine's boss to discredit her or he will silence her in his own way. Josephine makes copies of the files and runs for her life. She takes on a new identity and barely scrapes by as a waitress. One night, she goes into a bar, because she can't face the depressing place where she lives. While she is there, a band of brothers plays. She is greatly attracted to the bass player, William Rutledge. Josephine and William become lovers. Later, Josephine discovers that William is a cop. Will Josephine confide her secret to William and will he believe in her innocence? William is, also, keeping a secret-- he is a werewolf.

RUTLEDGE WEREWOLVES II: HIDE AND SEEK is an enjoyable paranormal, erotic romance with entertaining characters. I've found another great werewolf series! The world created by Ms. Lapthorne is very believable and entertaining. I, especially, liked the interactions within the Rutledge family, these enhanced the idea of a pack mentality. All the Rutledge men are yummy heroes and I can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend RUTLEDGE WEREWOLVES II: HIDE AND SEEK to the reader of werewolf romances.

SUMMARY

Josephine Lomax, a junior accountant, finds discrepancies in her company's records. When she goes to her boss to try and find out what's happening, she stumbles on him and a crooked cop's decision to shut her up. Scared and not sure what to do—she obviously can't turn to the cops—she runs and begins to play an intricate game of hide and seek.

Until she meets William Rutledge. They share a hot, passionate affair until he wants to get to know her better. Willing to allow their affair to grow deeper, she answers his questions as best she can and asks him a few of her own. It's then she finds out he's a cop. Shocked and not knowing whom to trust, she runs again. The difference this time is she doesn't want to run from this man.

William Rutledge is a man on the edge. He simply can't get Josephine out of his mind or dreams, so he tries to track her down when she runs. When he finally finds her, pregnant with his child no less, he is determined to convince her to trust in him. Once that is settled, along with the small matter of marriage and raising their child together, he knows he needs to sort out whatever it is that has her on the run.

For William knows one thing. Josephine's running days are over.
