REVIEW

"The Cat Dudley Rules!"

You won't forget the characters in this book for a very, very long time after you finish the last page. The Cat Dudley is a force to be reckoned with. Desmond, a wounded hero, is determined to bring down the Montgomery empire, and B.A. with it, even though she sets his heart (and other things) atwitter. Meanwhile, 213 men are doing whatever they can to make B.A. fall in love with the green- eyed half-Irishman outlander. Why? To break the curse preventing marital bliss--the islanders want wives.

And what a gutsy heroine is B.A.! She is a tenacious, kind-hearted woman who is determined to bring love to the men of Falgannon Isle. The only thing she can't do is let herself fall in love again. But The Cat Dudley has other ideas, and he's more than accustomed to getting his own way.

The Invasion of Falgannon Isle is a wonderful read that will take you through then entire gamut of emotion. It's a revenge story, but like none other. There's humor and angst. Sometimes you want to kiss Desmond and sometimes you want to kick him. Mostly, you'll want to kiss him. And, of course, I adored The Kitten Annie.

I'm primarily a historical romance reader, but this contemporary paranormal brings the past into the present. Wonderful book. Buy it. Read it. You won't be sorry.

SUMMARY

213 SINGLE SCOTSMEN

There was something about the Brigadoon-like Falgannon, something that kept most of its male inhabitants unwed. From Michael the Story to Callum the Bicycle - and we mustn't forget The Cat Dudley, the slyest poker-playing moggie in the Outer Hebrides - every male of the Isle had happiness dependent upon that of its Lady. So things had been since Pictish times, and so they would be long after the present day.

Despite her machinations, to this point B.A. Montgomerie had been unable to make her men happy. Her first marriage had been against their advice; her husband had been an Irishman, true, but he had failed to meet other necessary requirements...and things had ended badly. Now, another Irishman had come - and was making the natives restless. Yes, the men of Falgannon could sense Desmond Mershan's conquering Viking spirit and his desire for B.A. - which B.A. could sense herself. And while her men would never let anything happen that she didn't want, this Irishman had come to pillage and loot, and nothing was going to stop him. Staring into his vibrant green eyes, B.A. anticipated the battles to come.
