"I loved JACOB: THE NIGHTWALKERS!"
Jacob, the enforcer for an ancient race of demons, must
now punish
his brother. Unfortunately, demons have a hard time
controlling
themselves during the full moons of Beltane and Samhain
and lust after
humans. When a demon steps out of line, Jacob is charged
with
punishing
the demon and saving the human. Later, when another demon is trapped by magic welding
humans,
Jacob
is given the task of locating him and ending his torment.
Unfortunately, when a demon is the victim of magic, he
becomes a
monster
and the magic welder or necromancer forces the demon to do
his bidding.
During his search, Jacob saves a lovely young woman from a
tragic fall.
This woman, Isabella, senses where the demon and
necromancer are to be
found and Jacob takes her with him. Is the strong
attraction Jacob
feels for the human moon madness or something more, and
can Isabella
help save demon-kind from the necromancers? I loved JACOB: THE NIGHTWALKERS! It has wonderful
characters and an
exciting plot, which kept me up way past my bedtime and
left me wanting
the next story--NOW. Jacob, because he is the enforcer
for his race,
is
a figure that evokes fear. Therefore, he has few friends
and is forced
to be a loner, and he feels his ostracism deeply.
Isabella has never
fit into the human world and is something of a misfit.
Fortunately,
Isabella is no weakling and uses her strength, both
mentally and
physically, to save Jacob and herself several times.
While Jacob is an
alpha and protective, he doesn't overpower Isabella, and
they learn to
work together and become true partners. JACOB: THE
NIGHTWALKERS is one of
my favorite reads for 2006, and I can't wait for the next
book in this
marvelous series. Run don't walk to get your copy of
JACOB: THE NIGHTWALKERS, you'll be glad you did.
