"Suspenseful and humorous"
Kate Connor isn't your ordinary soccer mom-- she has a
secret. Kate works for a secret division of the vatican
called Forza Scura. Forza Scura trains individuals to hunt
evil and destroy it. Unfortunately, Kate, also, has a
family that doesn't know her secret. Kate discovers that
demons have a nefarious plan, and she must stop them with
the help of some of her friends. Meanwhile, the chemistry
teacher reminds her more and more of her dead first husband. CALIFORNIA DEMON focuses more on the paranormal aspects of
the story than the romance. However, there is some romance
in the story--it just takes a backseat to the demon-hunting
and family life. Kate is having a hard time juggling demon
hunting and potty training. This created many humorous
situations that had me chuckling, By the end of the book I
was getting nervous for the protagonists--the demons seemed
to be getting the upper-hand. Suspenseful and humorous,
CALIFORNIA DEMONS is a great way to spend an afternoon. Posted August 11, 2006

Welcome to San Diablo. The perfect place to raise a couple of kids and a lot of Hell. Especially if you're Kate Connor, retired demon hunter. Now, after fourteen years busting her tail as a suburban housewife, raising two kids, and supporting her husband's political ambitions, she's rejoined the workforce...well, secretly, at least. Between fending off demon attacks, trying to figure out why the mysterious new teacher at the high school seems so strangely familiar, and keeping a watchful eye on her daughter's growing infatuation with a surfer dude, Kate is the busiest-and most dangerous-soccer mom on the block.
