"an inspiring story of love and passion"
Ten long years after her rape, Joy Smith has decided to
have a Sex Surrogate. The only man she is willing to trust
to help is her best friend and vampire Raphael. If anyone
could help her with her intimacy issues it is the man who
had her heart even at her tender age of burgeoning
womanhood.. But how could she be intimate with him and
keep her emotional distance? The only thing Joy knew for
certain was that Raphael was her only hope of getting on
with her life and being able to be sexually free of her
demons. Raphael is not only a vampire but owns the most exclusive
BDSM club in New York. He has always had a possessive
streak when it came to Joy and 9 years ago had left New
York before he took her as his own. Now after a year of
being back she is on his doorstep asking for his help. But
can he keep his word to her and help her, then let her go
when all he wants is a lifetime with her? Come along on a journey with Raphael and Joy as she learns
to trust again but knows at the end she will lose the only
man that she has ever loved. Can Raphael keep his heart
out of the lessons and let Joy go on to have a full life
with a human? Or will these two finally get what they have
both yearned for, each other and a soul mate. Of Blood and Orchids is the second novel I have had the
honor of reviewing for Ms. Wilson. This inspiring story of
love and passion gives you all you could ever want in a
paranormal romance. Once you start reading it, you find
you can't put it down until the story is complete. Ms.
Wilson is a very talented writer, which comes out in her
stories. Of Blood and Orchids is a short story but is just
as wonderful as a full length novel. It draws you in
deeper with every intimate lesson between Raphael and Joy;
so much so that you can almost feel like you are in the
same room witnessing Raphael setting Joy free of her
demons and fear of being physically intimate with a man,
watching this Orchid bloom. I am looking forward to my
next novel from Ms. Wilson's creative mind. If you do not
get this novel and her first one (On Crimson Wings) then
you are missing out on some very talented work and
wonderful entertainment. Posted July 13, 2006
