"Excellent erotic thriller!"
All I can say is WOW! I was simply glued to this book.
Julie Kenner knows how to write an excellent erotic
thriller for sure! Jack Parker, a detective in the sex crimes division, needs
some professional help. They have a guy breaking into
women's homes and leaving erotic post cards or little
erotic notes. No one sees him enter or exit. Veronica (Ronnie) Parker owns Archer's Rare Books and
Manuscripts and is an expert in erotica. Her bookstore was
broken into and the police don't seem to care. She marches
into the police station and is mistaken for the expert Jack
Parker is looking for. When he asks her pointed questions,
it makes her furious and she storms out. When Jack realizes
his mistake, he still thinks that she can help him. Jack contacts Ronnie and she invites him to the erotica
seminar that she holds in her bookstore. He jokingly tells
her that he wants private lessons but the attraction
between them just sizzles. Ronnie helps Jack with
identifying the erotic post cards and what books the
passages come from. Then the stakes suddenly get higher
when the perpetrator kills his next victim. Can Jack and
Ronnie figure this out before this madman kills someone
else? I am a huge fan of Julie's books and this one was different
from anything she's ever written before. I would have never
guessed the villain in a million years. It was a big
surprise and a shock when the villain was revealed. That to
me is the basis for a superb romantic suspense. I can't
negate the sexual tension and the erotic nature of the book
as well. Julie had me squirming in my seat more than once
during this titillating book! All in all it had the
necessary ingredients for a one (albeit hot) sitting read. Reviewed by Kathy Boswell
