"A great addition to the Carlisle saga!"
Susan Grace never fails to deliver an interesting and
exciting read. I've thoroughly enjoyed every book of hers
that I've read and hope to read many more in the future. This is the story of Jonathan Carlisle, the eighth Duke of
Chatham. Jon's older sister, Catherine has been after him
to get married for ages now but he isn't in the market for
a bride. As a matter of fact he's even made Catherine's
son, James, his heir. This was before Jon was nearly kidnapped and left for dead
after he fell off a cliff when his horse threw him. Melanie
Allen's son Christopher found Jon in the river, clinging to
a log. He had multiple injuries which Melanie and her
surgeon father patched up for him. When Jon wakes up in a
strange bed in an equally strange house, he doesn't know
what to think, so he tells Melanie that he's lost his
memory. Until he finds out who tried to kidnap him, he's
not sure whom to trust. Also it seems as if Melanie is
hiding something herself. Can Jon get to the bottom of this
mystery? I simply raced through this book so I could find out how
this intriguing story would end. Jon was adamant that he
would never marry but when he fell for Melanie he fell hard
and fast. He even accepted Christopher just as if he were
his own son. As always, I eagerly look forward to Susan
Grace's next book! Reviewed by Kathy Boswell
