"Great Vampire Tale!"

Sitting in Club Inferno with some of his friends, vampire Raphael Chamberlain informs them he has finally found his lost love, Elizabeth. Centuries ago, Raphael managed to win Elizabeth's heart, and on their wedding night, she, along with the unborn child she carried, were killed before his eyes. This was also the night he became a vampire. When he managed to escape Zakara's clutches, along with six of his friends, he began searching for Elizabeth, hoping to find her. Now he has, and he has no intention of ever letting her go.

Elizabeth Quartermaine has never been happy with her appearance. Slightly overweight and with mousy brown hair and eyes, she's been considering changing it for quite some time, but never had the courage. She also dresses in a rather dowdy fashion. Imagine Elizabeth's surprise when she finds out the professor she's going to be teaching history with is an exceedingly handsome man, and is interested in her. This provides the impetus Elizabeth needs to go get her hair colored and try colored contacts. She also splurges on a new wardrobe.

After losing Raphael, Zakara has determined to get him back. No other man has been able to satisfy her and she plans on his ruling by her side.

Will Raphael be able to keep Elizabeth safe from Zakara? Will he manage to stay out of Zakara's clutches? What of Elizabeth, will she agree to stay with Raphael?

THE UNFORGIVEN: RAPHAEL is a wonderful introduction to an upcoming series of books by Tracy L. Ranson. Even though this book is a departure for an author of historical stories, Tracy Ranson manages to write a very good contemporary vampire romance. From the alpha Raphael, willing to do whatever it takes to keep Elizabeth at his side, to our heroine, dealing with self-confidence issues. We are also introduced to Raphael's friends, characters in themselves. If you're in the mood for a good vampire story, I highly recommend THE UNFORGIVEN: RAPHAEL.
