"A beautiful love story!"
Cassadara of the Clan of the Wolf has been sent by her
mother to the Dwarf Argolyn as he claims to have for sale
one of her own people. One man clearly stands out in the
crowd but he's been beaten so badly he can barely function.
Even though she sees that he's not of her people, he begs
her to buy him so she does, not knowing if it's a mistake
or not. The human tells her his name is Makakao but when she cannot
pronounce it, he tells her to call him Mak. Then she gives
him gold and tells him to buy armor, clothing and a weapon.
Before he can comply, he collapses. Cassadara takes him to
the nearest home in order to heal him. In order to fully
heal him, she has to mate with him. She has no way of
knowing how this will bind her to this human but she must
do what she must do. This powerful novel is not only sensual but it tells a
beautiful love story. There is a whole cast of characters
such as Orcs, Dwarves, Druids, Shamans and shape shifters
to name a few. This story held me spellbound. I am eager to
read more of Shelby Morgen's wonderful stories in the Way
of the Wolf series. Reviewed by Kathy Boswell
