"Be careful what you wish for"
Wounded in a Civil War battle, 18 year old Sean Nolan knows
he is dying. His only real regret is that he will go a
virgin, so he prays for relief from his condition before he
dies. What he gets is 21st century history professor
Eleanor (Nell) Randall. Falling asleep at her computer and
dreaming she's back in Civil War times is a bit confusing,
but it doesn't stop Nell from giving the young man she
finds the sexual relief he craves, though not quite in the
way he desires. Even more amazing is when she awakens at
her desk with the memory of the words she told him--"stay
with me"--to find that he did and is now lying bleeding on
her couch. Fearful of losing one another if they have total
sexual relations, Nell and Sean do everything but. Yet the
pressure is great. Will they be able to stay strong, or
risk all in the act they both desire so desperately. I enjoyed this story, partly because of my great fondness
for older woman/younger man stories, but mainly because it
was well written. Because of the short length of the story,
much of the usually time-travel situations were glossed
over. Still, I thought it was well handled. Even though the
hero is quite young, his life experience gives him a
maturity not often found in boys that age today. I actually
felt that he and the heroine were well matched. In other
words, don't let the hero's age cause you to miss a good
story. Reviewed by Flora Bell

Sean Nolan lay dying in a Civil War hospital with no
regrets but one: he was about to die a virgin. Half
delirious from the pain, the young soldier made one last
wish, never expecting it to be fulfilled, never expecting a
provocative older woman to grant him what he assumed was to
be his last request...
