companion, Xavier. THE GUILTY INNOCENT is the second book in the Knights of
the Darkness Chronicles where readers will be reunited
with favorite characters from the first book in the
series, Desires Unleashed. Though reading the first in the
series may help with some background, the author does a
great job of bringing the reader up to date on the
characters and can be read as a stand alone. Ms. Simmons
has created a unique society full of vampires and shifters
who are anything but ordinary, and fully realized world
building that will pull readers in. The story is cleverly
told in first person by the heroine so readers are able
connect with Natasha's inner turmoil over the murder of
her best friend, harnessing her newly realized psychic
abilities and her relationship with Darian and Xavier. The
fast paced storyline will keep readers up well past
midnight. Ms. Simmons' heroes are sexy and intriguing and
leave the reader wanting more; luckily there are
additional books coming in the series! Watch for the
