"Fantastic trio of heartwarming stories of love!"
In our first story in this anthology, ETERNAL PASSIONS by
author Brandy Lee, Susan Keith is playing the part of Lady
Buchan in a benefit play. Soap opera star Ryan Douglas has
the part of Robert the Bruce. Just as the butterflies are
starting to overwhelm Susan, there's a major problem. It
seems there's a fire in the theater and a mass exodus
ensues. Ryan grabs her and they start making their way
outside. The next thing you know, Susan is Lady Montgomery
and Ryan is Sir Alex Campbell back in Scotland in the year
1306. The two of them end up falling in love during one of
the most brutal periods in Scottish history. Is Susan the reincarnation of Lady Montgomery and Ryan Sir
Alex Campbell? Will they have a chance at love in this time
and age? Our second story, LET'S GET CRAZY by Caryn Carter, deals
with a totally different subject. Angel Duvernay did not
receive good news from the doctor she visited. Now knowing
she has a fatal disease, Angel has determined to finally
live her life and have the sexual experience of her life.
She still has to go back to the doctor for more tests, but
he's already given her the bad news. The man Angel wants
for this experience is pianist Eric Sweeney. Meanwhile,
Eric has an agenda of his own. In a long-term relationship,
Eric has decided to give himself a weekend of wild sex
before popping the question. With no fireworks in his
relationship, Eric needs to know if he's the reason why. So
the two of them decide to spend the weekend together, no
questions. Once the weekend is over, they will say goodbye
and go their separate ways. When the weekend ends, will they be able to say goodbye?
What will the doctor tell Angel when she goes to see him?
Will Eric become engaged to the woman he's been seeing? And finally, we have TOIL AND TROUBLE by M.A. duBarry to
finish off the anthology. In this story, Lord Trevor
McGovern has managed to anger way too women with
his "love 'em and leave 'em" attitude. When Old Esme comes
to see him, Trevor knows he's in trouble. She lays a spell
on Trevor, stating it won't be broken until he finds a
woman he loves and that feeling is returned. The next thing
you know, Trevor is a cat! We now move up a few centuries
to the present day where witch Tabitha Cole has adopted
Toil from a shelter. It turns out Tabitha has troubles of
her own and is in danger. Has Trevor finally found the one woman capable of breaking
the spell? Will she fall in love with him? Will he be able
to keep her safe? SILK AND MAGIC BOOK TWO is filled with three wonderful
stories, all very different. We have reincarnation from
Brandy Lee, one last fling from Caryn Carter and magic and
witchcraft from M.A. duBarry. The common thread holding all
three stories together is love—a love meant to last through
the ages. Even though none of these stories is very long,
they are really good for a quick read with the heartfelt
sigh at the end. I highly recommend this anthology to
anyone in the mood for a good love story.
