"Wonderful story of perceptions!"
After her divorce, single mother Audrey decided to go to
back to school for her degree. After all, she needs to have
some way to support herself and her daughter. Her study
buddy is none other Joel, the man with the golden smile,
the one all the other students speculate about and think
he's either a secret agent or a gigolo. Of course, Audrey
has always wondered herself exactly what Joel does for a
living. But the two get along well and usually get the
highest marks in their classes. On a weekend when her
daughter is off with her father, Audrey invites Joel over
to study. Finals are coming up and they need to prepare for
them. When Joel tells her he's got other plans and can't
make it this weekend, Audrey decides to hit the books by
herself. When she gets a call from her best friend asking
that Audrey go with her to an all male revue, Audrey
decides to go. After all, it's only Friday and she has the
rest of the weekend to study. Imagine Audrey's surprise
when one of the males in the revue is none other than her
study buddy Joel. Joel has had a thing for Audrey for a long time now. He
even talks about her to one of the men in the nursing home
he works at. Of course, being an exotic dancer gives Joel
the money to buy books and still have enough left over for
spending money. When he comes out to work the room, he is
shocked to see Audrey in the audience and he immediately
goes up to her and dances with her. When Joel calls Audrey
beautiful, she blushes and puts a dollar bill down his
waistband. The only dollar bills he feels bad about
receiving. Is there a chance for Joel and Audrey? Will he keep
dancing? Will they pass their finals? A PERFECT FIT is a different kind of love story. Once
again, Megan Hart presents us with characters it's easy to
identify with and love. On the one hand, we have Audrey—a
single mother trying hard to provide a future for herself
and her daughter and realizing her life has become rather
dull and boring. On the other, we have Joel—a man studying
hard to make it through school. When he's not studying,
he's working. And working in a nursing home just doesn't
make enough money to make ends meet and still go to school,
so he becomes an exotic dancer. Granted, he only performs
once a month, but it brings in enough money to buy his
books and give him spending money. And we're privileged to
sit back and watch the sparks fly as these two come
together. This is a very entertaining read and one I highly
recommend.

Audrey and Joel have been study partners for a year, but when Audrey spies Joel dancing in a local all-male revue, she learns a whole lot about human sexuality never covered in class. Joel knows he's got a reputation as a superstud, but he wants to do more than just study Audrey's curves. Study buddies becoming more than friends? Maybe, if only Audrey can admit that in Joel she's found a perfect fit.
