"Another fascinating peek into the Sazi world!"
Once again, we find ourselves in the world of the Sazi.
Only this time, we're visiting with the werecats.
Councilmember Antoine Monier has been forced into
performing with his cats in order to hold onto his estate
in France. After filing all the necessary paperwork when
one of his cats goes missing, Antoine finds himself with
the police outside of town. He can smell the slaughter, and
of course, Simon is one of the corpses. While talking to
the police, Antoine finds out they're holding a female, so
he uses a bit of his Sazi magic and goes to the station.
Once there, he can smell the female is a werecat, but
different somehow. Rescuing the female just in time so she
doesn't end up changing, Antoine loads her up in the van.
It turns out the female is one Antoine has been seeing in
his visions (yes, he's a seer) for quite some time now; her
name is Tahira Kuric and she's a member of the Hayalet
Kabile. The Sazi have wanted friendly relations with the
Hayalet for quite some time now, but it just hasn't come
The last thing Tahira can remember before Antoine rescued
her, was being captured by the same men who took her took
her brother, Rabi. When Rabi didn't show up in their
grandparents' village, Tahira's grandmother told Tahira she
would be able to find him. Of course, she lost a couple
months during her capture. Tahira is determined to find her
brother and so, she asks for Antoine's help. Since Antoine
is the rex cat, he has resources available to him Tahira
cannot even imagine. With Antoine being Sazi, Tahira does
her best to deny the attraction between the two of them.
What are these visions Antoine is having telling him? He
can see Tahira in grave danger, along with others he knows.
Will Antoine be able to discover what is going on and stop
it? Will Antoine and Tahira be able to deny their
attraction? And just where is Rabi?
CAPTIVE MOON is a mesmerizing story. C.T. Adams and Cathy
Clamp have once again outdone themselves with this
thrilling story of the Sazi world. We are once again
treated to a sneak peek, this time into the Wolven
organization within the Sazi. Not only that, we get to
learn about the werecat society. And when we meet Ahmad,
the leader of the snakes and not a friend of the cats, we
get a very unique twist to the story. As with all books by
these two authors, the action is non-stop from the very
first page and there are plots and subplots galore, but in
this one, we have the addition of a betrayal by one close
to Antoine. But this is a Tor Romance, and as such we also
have our very fulfilling heartfelt sigh at the end. C.T.

World-class entertainer and Sazi councilmember, Antoine Monier has taken his big cats all over the world without any trouble—until his latest trip to Stuttgart, where one of his tigers is stolen and killed. To Antoine's surprise, the German police have another tiger in custody—a tiger who is actually a lovely Turkish-American woman, Tahira Kuric.
Like Antoine, Tahira is a shapeshifter, but of the Hayalet Kabile, the ghost tribe of shapeshifters. And despite their immediate attraction, Tahira wants nothing to do with Antoine—the Sazi are the enemy of the Hayalet Kabile.
But Tahira doesn't have a choice, because she and Antoine have discovered that she is a fabled "power well," able to store magical energy from other shapeshifters—and something is hunting her, eager to use her powers for itself.
Only if they can set aside their peoples' ancient rivalry and rely completely on each other—body and soul—can Tahira and Antoine save themselves and their people.
